No 1911's, Glocks, an AR15's means that the inventors of said firearms didn't live. So some of you would have to change what you've selected since almost all of the semi-auto handgun selections wouldn't be around due to all the patents created by John Browning. There are very few semi-auto handguns that don't use atleast one of JB's patents, same goes for lots of rifles and shotguns.

I don't think losing Gaston Glock or Eugene Stoner would have affected very much. Glock's only contribution was marketing polymer pistols effectively to law enforcement, leading to their widespread adoption. HK had tried polymer pistols before Glock but they flopped. Without Eugene Stoner...direct impingement wouldn't be as popular. Whoop-de-sh**t.

You're right about JMB though, since as I understand it the short-recoil tilting barrel design was his idea originally. Who doesn't use a variant of that design? I don't think the Beretta M9 does, but that's the only example I can think of.

I am going with the:

Browning High-Power (even though it was an after thought...)

CZ-75

M-14/M-1A (C'mon it was the M1 Garand-evolved)

Remington 870 or Mossberg 500-590 shotgun(still in use in the future, I seen the 'Aliens' movies and a version still existed in the 'Halo' games...!)

Maybe a Sig 220

You know, the Python, probably, because I never was a wheel gun guy due to 1911's. Or a Raging Bull, it looks tough and you could bludgen a foe with it if out of bullets.

Maybe there is no rules against automatic weapons...in that case a BAR, then an M-60, then the H&K UMP .45. And a suppressed Ruger 10-22
