Illegal Minors at Fort Sill

These kids are coming across the border with phone numbers in hand from the news reports I'm seeing to get in contact with their parents or social organizations. WTF?

This isn't "normal" immigration violations.

LAWTON, Okla._New information surrounding immigrant housing on Fort Sill was released Monday.

Lawton police said DHHS reached out to their department, Lawton Public Schools, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for possible security, but said their department would not provide any security on Fort Sill.

Lawton police spokesman Captain Craig Akard said there were two primary reasons for that decision. First, since Lawton police have no authority or jurisdiction on post, the city attorney's office refused the request. However, Akard also said officers would have been required to wear their department's uniform, but would not have been permitted to carry their gun. He said city policy requires the gun to be worn as part of the police uniform.

why is it so hard to prevent mining at fort sill? it's not like illegal mining is a quiet operation. kick the illegal miners out.

LPD says No....because they would have to be in uniform, but not have a gun.

They are setting up for contracted security....watch.

This whole thing was sketchy from the start....and will continue to become more and more sketchy.

I had some info about sub-contractors coming in, 1 security per 2 miners...at a rate of $45.

Hmm I might take that gig, just to find out what they are trying to mine...8/
