The way the motor is positioned in there, looks like a little K-series 
Considering which direction they were going, I'd say coming back from Hallett would be a better guess.
That would be a fun car to track.

i thought the s2k's had f22c's? think the k motors are in the new civics and accords. still bet that would be fun as hell.
From 99-03 They were 2.0l, from 04 and up they were 2.2l
Correct, AP1 model years 2000-2003 are F20, AP2 my 2004-2009 are F22.
There was something about S2K motors in the Ariel at one point, not sure if it was a one off build.
They are $65K and you can't drive them on public roads.....I'll pass
You can drive them on public roads, they make street legal verisons, there is/was a couple here in tulsa, from synergy autoworks
