Considering which direction they were going, I'd say coming back from Hallett would be a better guess.

That would be a fun car to track.

ETA: ef9, the Atom 2 uses the K20 motor. (S2000 I believe.. right?)

From 99-03 They were 2.0l, from 04 and up they were 2.2l

Correct, AP1 model years 2000-2003 are F20, AP2 my 2004-2009 are F22.

There was something about S2K motors in the Ariel at one point, not sure if it was a one off build.

You can drive them on public roads, they make street legal verisons, there is/was a couple here in tulsa, from synergy autoworks
