Hello all...Just wanted to introduce myself...Im new to this site and have heard a lot of positive things about it. First off, My name is Gary and I live south of Tulsa. I enjoy all the normal things, shooting, hunting, fishing, riding the 4 wheelers and motorcycle. But I also enjoy rappelling and scuba diving. I have been in Law Enforcement in this area for about 18 years. My Dad was a cop so its something that Ive wanted to do since I was a kid. If you have any questions Please feel free. I enjoy shooting when i have free time and the whether is nice.
I live in broken arrow ok. the only range i have been to (outside of work, or carry class) is happy hollow.
i have herd some bad things about person experiences of other people in regards to the owner of the range. i however, have had no issues or confrontation, and have been pleased with the range.
guns i own.
i have a beretta m9, with stock ceramic grips.
a Mossberg 835 12 gauge shotgun (that i have only shot off into the dirt a few times to make sure it shot after owning it for 4 years before ever shooting it)
i also steal my fathers older 22 marlin from his closet when i go to the range. (i kind of consider it mine, seeing as how when i stumbled across it when we moved like 9 years ago, the thing had not been cleaned since before it was shot last like 20 years prior, and i put a nice new scope on it)
i just got my grandpas old rifle a bolt action mossberg 44 us(b). its very nice. and i look forward to shooting it soon.
i work as a security guard, and carry a s&w m&p 40, have shot probably as many rounds from it as i have my personal m9, for qualification. and i can say i enjoy the gun, but not enough to make me want a second handgun.
so, why am i here. well i really enjoy fps video games, but with the whether getting better every day (for now anyways) i keep thinking about the range. and with that i am interested in getting a new rifle and perhaps being part of an online community to better enhance my experience with insight on various things.
obviously i joined today, so i cannot post to the classifieds to express my interest on the forums. i do not like that rule as i do not want to wait a month to post looking for a gun i expect to own with in a couple weeks, but i will respect the rule as i have no power to get around it.
anyways, so if anyone reads this anyways, i will just put it here.
im looking for a mosin nagant, particularly a finnish made m39, however i am also potentially interested in the 91 and 44, if the price is right for me. ammo would be good to offer with it. i am interested in buying a shooter, i do not intend to "sporterize it" or modify it by doing anything to it that cannot be undone. but i am planning on putting a nice modern scope on it and shooting it. i do not necessary care if the numbers match on anything but the 39, which is not to say i would not be interested in a 39 that did not match, but merely my budget would change. a must on all of them would be great bore condition. i want well defined rifleing and would prefer nice and shiny vs dark and shadowy.
so if you have a mosin nagant for sale, i would love to know, please send me pictures and information about it, as well as any ammo or accessories it would have included with it.
i would be willing to drive a couple hours form tulsa to pick it up, but would prefer to go no farther than okc, i will also be planning to attend the gun show at expo square in tulsa on the weekend of the 27 and 28th, providing im not working.
