Tommy,
My Father and Mother were quite surprised to hear from you last night, wow what a story! As, mentioned we were not fore sure that my Grandfather had ever been awarded the Purple Heart, as it appears he probably did not get the metal presented to him until around 1943, so it never crossed our minds to look for it. It is truly amazing this item could be lost for so many years and then be returned before another member of the family is gone. We are very grateful to you for taking the time and caring enough to get this back to the rightful owner. We are in your debt.

Once the Purple Heart returns home it is my plan to build a shadow box, so the Heart may be displayed in the Honor and Sacrifice in which it was earned.

On behalf of my family, I would thank you for your efforts to return a long lost family heirloom.

God Bless,

I would Also like to Thank all of you who helped Tommy in locating my family. Very kind of all of you. Once again Thank you..

Hello all. New to site. Been looking at it for awhile but just joined. I am in the aviation industry. Mess around with classic cars, doing a 57 Chevy now. Also fly real and r/c aircraft for hobby. Have always been into guns and have hunted alot when I was younger. Now just havnt had the land to go hunt on since the gentleman my family use to lease from passed. Its a shame but now we have to wait for his wife to pass before we can go back. She likes us just never liked hunting. Now my interest in guns is really just collecting but I have been recharged as of late and want to make a dove hunt this year and do some clay pigeon killin. Maybe even a nice guided deer hunt if I can talk my Dad and Uncle into it. Any who Im new and looking for a Remington Model 32 or Remington Model 11. Prefer 20 Gauge. I also am looking for a Stevens model 87a with the plastic stock.

Hello. My name is Danny and I'm 51 years old. I've lived in Oklahoma my entire life, except for the 5 years I was in the Air Force. During that time (1976-1981) I was stationed at Minot AFB, North Dakota; Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan; and lastly at Tinker AFB in OKC. After the Air Force, I spent 19 years at a local police department, then 4 years with the cable company, before joining the security staff at a local hospital.

I'm a lifelong hunter and enjoy all types. Big game, small game, and upland. I'm a state certified Hunter Education Instructor (used to teach at the Bass Pro Shop in Broken Arrow). And, I played around with competitive archery in the late 90's before developing target panic. I also enjoy motorcycles and will be getting a new Harley in the not too distant future. I'm a member of the Patriot Guard and proudly stand for those that stood for us.

I am a concealed carry permit holder, and have been since it started in 1996. My CCW of choice is my Kimber Pro Elite .45acp that I've owned since 1999.

It's nice to see a site like this one, and wish to thank the owners/administrators for developing it.

I've lurked here off and on for a while. I spend way too much time on a few other boards but have only recently been checking things out here with any regularity. I know at least a couple other members and I met ShooterDave today. Super nice guy.
This seems like a nice community and I'm glad its here. I live just East of Tulsa. I like to ride and I like to shoot though my range membership has not seem much use over the past couple years. Some day I want to try my hand at IDPA but for now I just need to start getting to the range more often.

Brett

Edit:

One more thing I forget...the Blackbirdpilot is in reference to the CBR1100XX Super Blackbird not actual...and AWESOME...SR71.
