Here, but occasionally There.
It’s a legendary event for Glock. This might be the first pistol they ever made that wasn’t for self defense or competition.

It was many years back, but when we went for our training for our carry permits, the wife and I overheard an older lady asking the instructor what kind of weapon she should buy. He suggested that she buy a .22LR and practice with it a lot to get really proficient. So, there might be some that could use the G44 as a carry weapon. (I'm sure the little old ladies out there aren't on OSA, or other firearms forums, to learn that it just HAS to be a 9mm or .45.)

I, too, just wondered why a metric thread?!?!?! Then, I started looking and realized they're not alone. At least Sig also uses the same set-up. Just seems odd to me. Why not cut a standard thread to begin with. Oh, yeah, Europe. Maybe, someday, when (if) the gubment quits charging $200 just for the opportunity to buy a suppressor, I might own one.

I think we are the only ones to use "standard" threads. :D

Actually if you get to understand and use the metric system it is vastly simpler and more logical than ours. I think there are like 3 countries on the planet that use ours, us and two others we've probably not heard of and I don't remember.

Once you start with perfection – you stay with perfection. The G44 is the ideal pistol to start or enhance your shooting experience. The innovative design of the hybrid steel-polymer slide chambered in our first .22 caliber round provides a lightweight and low recoil functionality for optimal control.

The G44 was thoroughly tested with a wide variety of ammunition to ensure maximum performance and redefine what small can do.

The G44 is a compact size pistol with the ability to adapt to nearly every hand size by using the different backstraps supplied with the pistol. The G44 comes standard with the GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB) for increased accuracy and precision.

The right equipment is essential. The G44 comes with adjustable rear sights and two load-assist magazines. Everything that a well prepared shooter needs.
