Gouging is to be expected right now. Sellers can ask whatever price they want for an item, it is how the system works. When people stop paying those prices then sellers will adjust as necessary to make the sale. Any body buying $60 pmags and $1000 cases of standard 5.56 ammo are fools or maybe the government.
Sellers who are trying to make a quick buck by excessively overpricing items are counting on the foolish and ill prepared.
They are betting that the rest of us will not turn on them. They are wrong.

If you're not trying to take advantage of people, then I don't think it's gouging. By that, I mean if you paid $10 for something and you're selling it for $100 because you can take advantage of the situation, I think it's gouging. If you have something you paid $10 for and someone offers you $200 to buy it because they want it bad enough to make an offer on something that's not for sale, that's not gouging. It's just my opinion. I believe in capitalism, I really do. I just think greed causes more issues than fairness, so I will avoid places that I perceive to be gouging. I probably won't have any impact on them at all.

That's really not the reason for the post, though. I was just pointing out that I don't think there's a need for panic. Reputable and fair shops have merchandise in route, so do you really need to go to a shop that's going to charge you astronomical prices when you can wait a few days and get what you're looking for? Maybe I'm wrong, it happens frequently, but I think we've still got a little time.

No, it isn't. Some people are of the opinion that this is it. The last ban had a sunset provision, however this new one, if passed, probably will not. The libs are also talking about non-transferable laws and ending gun shows. If you are one of those who believe that this could come to pass, then these next few weeks are really the last chance to get what you've always wanted.

Personally, I don't think so. But those who believe this is the last hurrah of free men with arms in America will pay $2,500 for a Colt... and apparently even 1,600 for a DPMS (last time I checked Armslist). If they will pay it, there is nothing wrong with selling it at that price.
