Is "okie" offensive?

Oh, now, that's a whole 'nuther matter! Yep. I can be offensive with the best of them when I put my mind to it!

A good friend of mine who's 1/2 Mexican &1/2 Native lives in Tulsa and posted this a bit ago. I think that it kinda sums up the PC sentiments of most Okies that I know.

The only time I was offended by "Okie" was when a few of the ESPN commentators would refer to OU as Okie U and Oklahoma State Okie State.
That was on purpose by ex players that got their butts handed to them by one or both teams.

I don't know any multi generational Okies that give a single thought to the tag OKIE. But if there's reparations involved, I'm in.
