A short term fix would be to beef up Mexico's border security where it narrows with Guatemala and Belize. Give them enough payoffs and under the table money and they will do it.
What if we are relocating all of these people because we know a large asteroid is going to impact the area.?

Its already been said by somebody on this forum, but if we cut out all vacation destined Americans that continue to go there, it might send a $$$$$$$ message to the Mexican Government. Shut down NAFTA.

The goal is to make Mexico stop allowing free passage to South American illegal immigrants and to force them to take care of their own lawlessness. We can't do that for them. They have to fix their own problems. The government is so corrupt that Its thought the cartels actually run the country. Drugs rule.
If we hit them economically, they might just take care of their issues.
If not, we have the National Guard to totally seal off the border on our side, and they can implode at their will. (of course I'm dreaming somebody will do the right thing)

As they are released into the public, the states should round them up, buy them one way bus tickets to San Fran, Chicago, DC, NYC, all those lovely liberal strongholds where the people are so accepting of illegals. 
Better yet, we send them all to Detroit where there is plenty of vacant housing, schools, and other buildings for them. We take 25% of the tax dollars going to the other liberal cities and send that money to Detroit. It can be used to pay the few citizens left in the city to take care of the illegals.

Heck, I've got an even better idea...
Arm them with "confiscated" firearms, send them in to some bad neighborhoods in Chicago, DC, New Orleans - tell them they can have it all from block X to block Z, but they have to eliminate the current residents. Go all Biblical on 'em, just like the Israelites stormin' into the Promised Land.
