You know, I actually felt great sympathy for Brady but I detested the way the media turned his getting shot into a propaganda coup in favor of gun control. Both Brady and his wife, Sarah were used by people who saw them as a political opportunity and nothing more. It's sad really.

it wasnt the media. it was james brady himself. remember he came from that world as Reagan's press sec. Ron and nancy both supported gun control. while gov of california He along with the NRA passed one of the first state gun control acts and helped push the awb.
And the machinegun ban.
Whats this? The all & powerfull Ronald Reagan couldnt have possibly done that! Hes the greatest thing since......well, ya he did! But you wont see folks freaking the hell out about it......hmmmmm....wonder why?
I liked Reagan but that was something that still pisses me off about him. I love how presidents and other elected officials know what the constitution says yet they still try and get legislation passes to restrict our right to bear arms.
He also granted amnesty didn't he? Well, he signed the bill while in office? I don't remember, I was still in single digits back then.
Which amnesty? There have been so many.
My trust has a few full autos... When did they become illegal?
