I was grounded to my room for 90% of my childhood.
I walked the fields on the way home from school and collected all the hair and fur on barbed wire fences.
Made my own yarn from the fur by twisting it around a strand of sewing thread.

Dog hair made great jigs.
Neighbor had a blue healer :)
Sure is fun to do.
Buddy of mine gave me a few bags of alpaca wool, it didn't work so well lol.

I used to fish with a guy that painted his own heads. He said the “eyes” work the best and he proved it time after time. He gave me some and my catch rate matched his. Eyes are the only jig I fish now with a variety of tails.
