Tony the voters got nothing to do with it. The governor appoints his replacement. They will serve until the 2020 election and then will have to be elected to retain the seat.

I didn't always agree with him either, but I believe he was an honorable man that actually tried to do what he thought was right. We all have differing opinions, and he was no different in that regard.

I think this is true for the most part even though he was just often wrong. And I was flat pissed when he did that "Gang of 8" BS. And several times after that too.
