Yep! prime time of the year to stock the freezer with some easy fishing.

I totally missed the sand bass run this year. I haven't heard a lot about it this year. Only crappie?

I hope to get out one evening this weekend..............tried to find some shad last weekend while goofing on the lake with wife..........no luck at all

The shad along with the sand bass have moved back into the main lake humps on Kaw. I was seeing lots of shad in the back of coves last week.

Kaw is muddy now with the recent rain run-off, but the fishing is still good. Crappie have moved off the banks.
