Places like Facebook...I dont see why people post their whole life on those sites. I know people that always state their whereabouts, vacations, work routines, home routines, kids routines, kids activities. All this stuff can be seen by many people either legit on non-legit. I swear some people need to let everyone know their whole life, maybe they need to rethink posts a bit.

During penetration testing, one of the first things the Red Team normally does is "open source intelligence gathering," where they analyze all the publicly-available information they can find about the target company and its employees. Social networking sites are a goldmine for OSINT.

E: There's other weird stuff, like how lots of smart phones with GPS capabilities can embed your physical location in photos that you take with your phone. http://icanstalku.com/ is a website that reads photos posted on twitter and posts the location information embedded in the photos. Scary stuff.

I live in a duplex that I rent....I have a buddy that lives close and I plan on getting some timers for the lights and have them come on at random times.

Put a 12 pack in your fridge and give your buddy a key. Tell him there is free beer in the fridge, if you drink though don't drive feel free to stay. Don't leave a 30 pack, or things might get tore up.
