Saw tons of sign but only one small doe I came upon and scared.

He said he shot it at 9:30 and they had it all down at the road by 2:30. Hauled out the meat, ivories, heart, hide and recovered his bullet.

Just curious, what rifle/ammo did he use. I asked all the guys in our truck, there were a couple 30-06, a couple 300 win mags, several 7mm and one 338 ultra mag. Sounded like a canon when that 338 went off twice. I wish I could have asked him if it took two shots with that thing to put his bull down.
