.........with Marlin/Glenfield rebuild #3. Just got it finished for a friend's son's 13th birthday. It was a pile when I first got it (see below). The stock needed complete refinishing, the bore looked like a sewer pipe and there was spot rust on most all the metal. Well, after replacing the barrel and refinishing the stock and metal, I think it came out rather nice. Oh, and it shoot's pretty good too, thanks to a couple of spots of bedding compound in the stock.

You did a great job! Looks nice. I have bought up quite a few old 22 single shots, bolt action tube feds for the grandkids and future grandkids. I may should have not passed on some of the rough ones out there, as you sure made it look good again.

I just like the older 22's they have character, no plastic crap and such.

Yeah, the old guns are still the best! It ain't easy bringing these old squirrel-getters back to life, but it's a heckuva lotta fun! I still have the first one I ever rebuilt, the second went to my great-nephew last Christmas (it was more of a refinish than a rebuild) and now this one. Glad y'all like 'em!
