Nope it will only re-enforce her belief that the common citizen doesnt need guns only those special individuals that provide protection for the elite should have them
I don't see anything here that won't strengthen her beliefs. Gun used by private citizen to commit a crime, shouldn't have had the gun in the first place. Gun used by trained police in defense of someone of great importance, acceptable.
I think the clear message here is that if you feel the need for protection you should just hire a couple 24/7 armed security guards. Obviously.

If Justice Sotomayor wants to be consistent, she should post “no guns allowed” signs on her car and front door, and dismiss the armed guards.
