After a 15 hour train ride from Moscow I was in the Udmurt region and in the town of Izhevsk. I was told the Kalashnikov museum was there and got to visit after doing some work. It was pretty good for Russian standards.Of course they charge foreigners more to enter and even more if you want to take photos. But it was not that expensive.
After going up some marble stairs you go into the gun area.
