I'm going to assume that Mr. Ford lost his job and just snapped. People need to love each other more.

I don't disagree with your opinion about love but I urge you strongly NOT to just assume anything. There is no need to and it may, in fact very often in cases like this, leads to incorrect conclusions, "solutions", etc.

This was a terrible thing to have been perpetrated and there might be lessons learned worth applying broadly but we won't have any chance of getting it right until we know facts.

They just reported on the ABC overnight news, that the shooter had an extensive criminal background in Florida. I wonder if he was a felon and prohibited from legally owning a firearm?

Here is the woman that purchased to two guns for the felon. Apparently they broke up and she took the weapons until the threatened her and she gave them back (huh?). Also this wasn't the female that file the restraining order against he shooter.
