All true, but when they drive out all the taxpayers who comprise the major portion of the state's income, there won't be much money for the Dims to spread around. Everything will slip into disrepair, crime will peak, "social services" will become scarce. It's a downward cascade. For proof, you hit the nail on the head. Nothing the Democrats run prospers.

I keep looking at the cities of Baltimore, St louis, Detroit and so on that have been driven into ruin. The city's are still there, the demon craps still run them and there will be no change in the foreseeable political future.
I'm not sure how he does that, but Trump has promised Chicago and Baltimore that if they don't clean up their crime, he was going to send in Federal Marshals to enforce the law.
That could end up in a big discussion.
Edit: I don't see the rich moving out in droves from Va. The rich still flock to Commiefornika and love it. Whats leaving is the small business owners. Just read a news feed today that as of Jan 1, 2020 the trucking industry in Ca will be going through a massive overhaul with independent truckers that have small business will be dissolved or be force to join state approved trucking companies and become drivers instead of business owners.
Eventually all the trucking companies will be ran by the state. This is just the first step.

I figured that they were getting desperate to foist their dictatorial tyranny upon us. (I don't like to call it an ideology. There is nothing universally ideal about any of it.) Maybe they figure the time is ripe, but I believe they are desperate. They are power hungry, money hungry despots, and the rest of us be damned and will be forced into servitude for their own nefarious ends. They forget one major factor, though: We the People are still armed.

Progressivism has run its course. Now the time has come for them to lunge. Maybe they figure if they start overt disarmament on the east coast and overt Fascism on the west coast, they'll be able to squeeze the middle of the country like a big pimple.

The MSM is on their side, too. The MSM is bought and paid for by the left. I believe there is no other way the MSM could survive the way it is if it had to rely on income from advertising.

As for this - what would it be called, 'unification?' - of the trucking industry in CA, are the "independent" truckers simply going to capitulate? How many will leave the state? What does the ICC have to say about this? How soon will it hit the Supreme Court? How long before the California harvests rot on the vine? How many farmers will survive? Will Amazon still be able to deliver by their cabal of independent delivery entrepreneurs? How much more manure can the government of California toss into the fan before someone reverses the fan? There is plenty on the streets of San Francisco, so I doubt they'll run out of manure, but sure as shootin' they'll eventually get it all back!
