Those 18 "officers" would need to move their families into a compound under constant armed guard. They'd have to move in armored convoys just to make it back to them every night, and not even that would be a guarantee. You'd have to be certifiably insane to take that gig.
I'm sure there would be a social media network developed to track the travels of the "confiscation officers" so one would know when it's time to put the guns in the pre designated "safe space".

So now the NRA is having their own lobby day; don't know if that's a good idea or not, seems like they're a bit late to the party.
But the article said they're having a press conference with some republican lawmakers, so maybe some of the gun owner's message will get out.

Might have been better if they'd joined forces with the VCDL and GOA.

But maybe 2 pro-gun lobby days will have a positive effect too.
