So I was shooting my Keltec P3AT at the range today with my mom. I wanted her to feel comfortable firing a gun since it's been awhile for her. Well, she was firing the P3AT, and after the second shot to my horror, I saw the recoil spring (the small one) projecting half way out the front of the gun! I've never had this happen before.
So I field stripped the gun and of course it has 2 recoil springs (big and small) and since the small one was the one going through the little hole, I grabbed some needle nose pliers and "unwound" the end of the spring just a little so there would no chance of it projecting out.
Has this happened to anyone? What's the best solution to fixing it? Thanks.
