This stuff has been background noise in my own life since I was six years old. I beleived every conspiracy you want to name for at least thirty years. The default setting is always Oswald. Would Oswald have forgotten his pistol? Well, I guess. There is no compelling reason to believe that Oswald could not have acted alone.

I understand what the OP is saying, I think. If Oswald was the shooter and he had smuggled the rifle in...would he have really left his pistol at home. Who knows. If he really was the shooter, maybe he was so involved in what he was about to do that he simply forgot it. I think what happened was is that he was involved in it in some way. He wasn't the shooter. I feel that after he heard and realized the plot had happened(also realizing the bus was coming that he was soon to be thrown under), he went home and retrieved his pistol and then proceeded to find a place to disappear until he figured out what he needed to do. If he was the lone shooter, why did Ruby need to assassinate him?
Ruby was a glad handing titbar owner and marginal personality. Irish Catholic who thought he'd be a hero for shooting Oswald. Yeah, people are really like that. It doesn't make sense, but that's how people are.
I don't read books, but if I read books, that would probably be like reading a book... I bet I would love it.

Well, I don't either, but I know people who do, and they swear it would be a worth while endeavor for anybody who really cares about this shi+ which nobody does.
