Right or wrong if someone gets killed in one of these deals some lawyer somewhere is going to file suit. It's just what happens. No sense in getting worked up over it.

the female security guard should sue his mom for not raising a good son, and the mental anguish she was put through having a gun pointed at her.

Here in Florida, if you're stupid enough to make me kill you, no one can sue me for doing so.

More states should accept this policy.

The thing is, they are not suing the manager who did the shooting, they are suing the company for not enforcing their own employee policies.

Personally I don't like these policies that prevent employees from using their own judgement in bad situations.

In all likely hood, Kroger's will settle out of court and the manager will find himself unemployed. That seems to be how these things work out.
