Theres some stuff you can pick up at a lot of co-ops called viper. Mix 1 oz in a gallon I think. Anyway, sprayed the outside and inside perimeter and didnt have spiders or any other bugs for 4 years.

I escorted him out but some others wanted him to meet his demise! Then, in the last few months. Two Scorpions, scads of Grass Spiders (look like a Recluse). Dadgum!

The spider fell and went back under my chester drawers ...

That's hilarious! "Chester Drawers" is what we called it when I was a kid. It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized it was a "Chest of Drawers".

I got spider bit perilously close to my lady parts a couple of years ago. The resulting abscess and treatment thereof (or lack of, depending on how you felt about my POS PCP at the time) resulted in a hysterical thread here. Much fun was had at my expense. It was a hoot!

I burned every single piece of clothing I owned as a result of that thread.

Got a link!

I always let Fly Spiders hang around, because they eat other bugs, and put Grand Daddy Long Legs outside, but the rest die at first sight.

I lived in an apartment complex several years ago that was infested with fiddlebacks. I woke up several times to find some Stephan King sized brown recluse crawling across my face. I went all Jackie Chan on the management and they hired an exterminator. She came in and sprayed and couldn't believe the number of them she found and that I hadn't been bitten (I would find them squished in my sheets in the morning where I had rolled over and steam rolled the little vermin. The spray helped a bit but she told me to put those sticky mouse traps along the wall edges especially around the bed. In the first month I caught so many I was changing sticky traps every other day. After that it was just the occasional spider found. Lesson learned....sticky traps are brown recluse death! If you have pets this is a bad idea for obvious reasons.

You'all, not to long ago I raised spiders ( widows, fiddlebacks, blue foot, wolfs', bird eating, 6 kinds of trantulas and five other kinds) and sold them to researchers', and the trantulas to pet shops. I find a spider and every one gets a pass. I've been bit by a fiddleback, black widow, and many trantulas. But the worrst spider bite I ever got was fronm a bird eating spider. It was 8" across and it mistook my hand for the parakeet I was feeding it. That bite put me in the hospital for 2 weeks. Still have the scar. At the time i also raised and sold five varieties of snakes. Really miss only three kinds of snakes.

Heads-up...

We've got an exterminator on contract for scheduled spraying around the house. (every 3 months)
In the last few days, we went from rare spider sightings to a *lot* (three last night). I guess something about the weather.
In our case, it's Brown Recluse spiders. They scare me terrible.

I sprayed that Demon WP around the house and there have been dead spiders everywhere. I've been sweeping up 3-4 a day for the past week.

parson spiders, jumping spiders, BR, etc.

You could always get a Tokay Gecko and turn him loose in the house. They eat all kinds of spiders. Just don't let them get in the mailbox. The
U.S. Postal system will shut down the mail service for your block!
