I thought I read something about them using powder from fireworks in their bombs, which would hopefully take the air out of the argument to regulate reloading supplies. I could be wrong. Maybe I dreamed it.

They're going to have to start regulating the sale of fertilizer as well, which was brought up after the Murrah Building bombing.

It's very easy to use it as an explosive, and has been used that way forever in construction, clearing stumps, etc.

Average bag of fertilizer is what, about 25 pounds?

Exactly. But it's not "Common Sense" to regulate fertilizer. It IS "Common Sense" to regulate anything related to guns.

Well, that and the fact that a lot of anti-gunners buy fertilizer (or have their gardeners buy it), and they're just using it for its intened purpose.

It's "other people" who buy it for making bombs.

Exactly, but the exact same can be said for probably about 99% of the people who buy black powder.

Even including Boston, which has been used in more crimes?

Gunpowder in Boston Bombs Likely from Fireworks.....New Hampshire fireworks store told the FBI it sold $400 worth of fireworks to Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

"Never waste a good crisis." The anti's have legislation waiting on the shelf to submit whenever something happens that seems to fit the narrative. Next step - background checks to buy firecrackers.
