I realize the thread is obsolete to the OP now, but for any reading it...

I own the Lee Turret press, and a Dillon 550. I do not have a Loadmaster.

For volume, the Lee doesn't compare to the Dillon. But for smaller batches, that reverses. I can set up my Lee Turret for 5+ calibers for the cost of one quick change kit on the Dillon, and it's faster to change than the Dillon at that.

So I keep both: I have the Dillon set up for .38spl, 9mm, and .223 - my bulk caliber/loads - and use the Turret for .357, .44, .45, and small volume loads for the 9/.38/.223.

I also have a couple single stage presses for precision rifle rounds, case prep, and load work up.

My point being, if you are trying to make the Turret do the job of a Dillon, you will likely end up frustrated. Likewise, if you try to make the Dillon do the many-caliber/low-volume work, you will also end up frustrated. And broke.

I got a Lee 4 hole turret press the other day and loaded some on it .
I manually index it though and it works fine.
I have nothing hooked to it..so manually install primers cases and bullets.

I do have an old pro 1000 lee and set up for 45acp with case feed and primer feed..it works fine..every now and then I must push the case a bit over to line up in the sizer die ,,but no biggie.

I think with these Lee auto presses you will just need to tinker and tinker to get it right for you.

That's one of my favorite things about the lee turret. You can remove the indexer in a snap to have a manual indexing turret.

I think the OP should have kept the other two presses. Providing he has room. I am sure that over time he would have found good uses for them both. I have three presses (actually I have six) that I use for metallic cartridges. Two of my six are for shotshells and one is a old Herters press that I could use but most likely wont use.

The last press i paid for is a Lee hand press. I use it to decap cases with a Lee universal decapper while I watch tv.

My RCBS rock chucker is used for several rifle rounds and for the Dillon Rapidtrim. I have the case kicker kit for it and it makes fast work of the trimming.

Then there is my Dillon 550 that is my main loader.
