I like the 930 spx, the ghost ring is kinda tricky but I know I'll get used to it. It kills pigeons, real ones and clay ones, thats good enough for me. I just put that millet dms on my AR and only got 15 rounds with it today. No problems. real easy to zero although the illumination is all but useless outside, even when cloudy like today. And its kinda heavy. BUT I like the donut reticle, and the glass is pretty clear and crisp.

I saw some of your three-gun videos on youtube man - that looks fun. I've sold all my shotguns except for an 11-87 Duck gun and a couple of 20ga youth guns, but I'd love to participate in some of that fun.

Come on out on the 8th. Jesse let me use his Benelli last time, I'll let you use my 930 spx if you want. 3 gun is a blast. I had a bunch of screwups on the video but it was only my first time, hopefully i learned a thing or two and can do better this time. Let me know if you want to use my shotgun, I think my brother is going to use it to but thats not a big deal. Check out the 3 gun thread in my signature if you want to find out more.

My LaRue Stealth upper just came in today. I've got some more goodies coming in hopefully in the next day or so - a TD rear castle-nut QD attachment point for mine, some more panels, and a MIAD for my son's (oh, and some QD connectors for his VTAC - as you can tell from the pic, his sling isn't attached yet).

My son's is the Spikes with fire/safe markings (bottom pic) and my old upper on it. I'm probably going to leave his the way it is other than stealing the irons/optic and giving him the Matech or maybe some Magpul BUIS (cause the rest of this build broke me and I'm not sure I can afford much more).

I need to pick up another VFG for mine eventually and figure out what I'm going to do about an optic for his (or just leave the EOTech on his and use Irons for mine).

I can't wait to shoot that Stealth - I had been considering getting one and then saw a used one for a pretty good deal on ARFCOM and couldn't resist.

I'm loving the EMOD, but the lack of a friction lock is somewhat distracting if I'm carrying it and trying to quick aim (and you get that tiny bit of movement as you shove the stock into your shoulder).

Now all I have to do is get him a bow and he and his brother won't be getting any super-expensive stuff for a while (and I can get back to spending money on me :D ).

Do you have one of VLTOR's tubes? I've got an EMOD on one of their tubes and another one on brand X tube...the lockup on their tube is much tighter.

Yep - bought the complete EMOD kit with the numbered tube - its very stiff, but still there's the slightest movement when shouldering the rifle - it happens on the CTR as well, but just the first time you shoulder it after clamping down the friction lock (and then the Friction lock holds the stock adjuster in the forward part of the hole that its in).

Its not nearly the wiggle I've experienced in any standard 6-pos M4 stock, but its noticeable after having the CTR.

The FDE shows more mistakes like dark spots. The black looks the best. Both are very grippy.
