I said it's a police issue, as in, it's the kind that is issued to police. What else can we argue about?

Not trying to argue with you, just disagree with your terms.

For example, the military police on Fort Sill drive Chevy Impalas (and yes, they are "issued" to them since the miltary bought them). If I was trying to sell my personally owned Impala using your logic I guess I can call it a "military issue" vehicle. :wink2:


They are playing semantics. Just call it a duty rifle and they will shut up.

It wasn't their property, the officers had to pay for the AR's out of their paychecks. Once issued to them, they could do what they wanted with them. And just because you've never heard of something doesn't make it impossible. I'm pretty sure though that the officers had their choice of .223 or .308, as they were the ones paying for them.

Ok clearly our definitions of "police issue" are very different. If I have to pay for it then it's not issued to me.

Edit I see CAR beat me. It's too hard to keep up with the elite hobby shooters posts from my phone
