Sounds like a date.

Are you at Vance AFB? One of the guys I work with has a son in the Air Force at Vance. I believe he is a Security Forces NCO. Do you know a Mike Fitzgerald?

yep!

And Fitz? BAWHAHAHAHAHA Yea I know that funny little guy, he works swing shift and I make sure to give him a hard time everyday when he comes into work as I work days.

Hes on my sh1t list for wrecking the ATV that an airman wrecked a few months ago and I spent a few days rebuilding the front end and he went and screwed up most of the work I did.

All of this chart talk reminded me of some chart talk on here about a year ago.

IIRC, Stephen Cue was offering to let people butt stroke his brother.....:anyone:

:cry11: u suck!

I will jsut get to shoot my issued M4 at work on duty at the range with the fun switch flipped :D

Well the Noveske is staying in the safe tomorrow and the Colt is going for a ride. It has a fun switch too, but sadly, the match is at Oil Capital, so the fun switch will remain unengaged tomorrow. :(

I quit cleaning my AR. It runs better dirty with a little oil on the bolt. I haven't cleaned it in over 2k rounds now and it has run great with my mags. It is nasty on the inside.

Dude! The carbon fouling is porous. It holds the lube on the friction surfaces better. That's why it runs so well! :)

I actually came across an article, cant remember who they guy was, but he talked about going through basic back in the mid 60s and what they taught about rifle maintenance. He was basically saying that what he learned later (outside of basic) was that what he was taught in basic was over cleaning. Ill look through my history and see if I can find it.

EDIT: FOUND IT!

Nice find! When my 16 was new and tight, it didn't run well with Slip 2000. I ran it with Hoppe's Elite for a while and it does well now with Slip. I will probably switch back to the Elite in cold weather.

I think more guns get worn out from constant disassembly and reassembly than those that are run with plenty of lube and less cleaning.
