Haven't posted in this thread for a while, so I thought I'd put the close-ups of my Son's poor-boy magnifier setup in here:

Picked up a Primary Arms QD (throw-lever) mount for one of their magnifiers ($30) and it is pretty darn solid (its a 30mm mount, but comes with the 1" inserts so you can use it with other magnifiers - very nice touch and with the inserts, its still solid). Like the throw-lever on their micro, it requires some fine-tuning when adjusting it - the first time you get it on there tight, its not really tight, but after getting it on and tightening and playing with it for a few seconds to make sure it was where it needed to be (and pulling it off and putting it back on a couple of times to make sure it was holding zero pretty well), it was fine and holds up like a tank.

The optic is that old Hensoldt one you could get (I think its an old rocket-launcher optic) from LaRue in their Poor-boy setup with flip-to-side mount, but I went even cheaper and haven't removed the reticle yet (so I've got about $40 or so in this magnifier and its Hensoldt German quality 3x glass in a very solid mount that I can remove and replace) - and it actually holds pretty good zero with the busy reticle in there on top of the red-dot).

Here's the mount:

Looks great. I hope you know that this is a sickness. There is no hope for you now. Trust me.

the new configuration.

I have a Spikes M4LE upper with the Badger Gen 1 Tactical latch mounted to a DPMS A-15 lower with DPMS LPK. I am adding a Spikes Combat Trigger soon and changing the furniture color to a simple black......

What BUIS is that on the back and please write something up on that trigger when you get a chance to try it out - I'm pretty curious about it.
