Not sure if this was directed towards me but I have a set for each rifle I own and use them in place of rail cover sections or ladders. They allow you to easily return accessories to your favored position. Also, each set comes with a set number of clips that are made to route the remote activation cord for a weapon light. Don't have a clear picture of them on one of my guns but here is a photo from LaRue.

thanks, ive never had experience with them so i didn't know if they fit snug enough to the rail to make a solid cover.

Yep they do. Get's rid of all the sharp edges.

Nice... you could always put one of those Sig stabilizing braces on it and use it like a stock until the permission slip comes through.

It's not that painful. It will cost you $200 for the stamp and about 6-12 months wait on the stamp. You'll either have to do a trust or get a CLEO sign off and fingerprints. The trust route may require the CLEO sign off and fingerprints due to the EO that were just presented, but that'll be a while yet.
