I‘ve been looking for one. What size is it. 13-14X40?

Did you score some tooling with it?
It’s a 13x40 and just a few pieces of tooling came with it.

I’ve been looking for one for many moons. I just happened to check the purple wave auction a day before the auction closed. They must have had a brief auction listing.

Not in Oklahoma!
The lathe is the inexpensive part.

Now you need all the extra lathe chucks, cat heads, tool holders, rests, indicator bases, indicators, measuring tools, cutting tools, centers, drill chucks, grinders for tool sharpening, and good toolboxes to store them in.

An in the end, its worth it....
Cat heads?

Man.....

I got my first taste of running a lathe in 9th grade, was working as a Tool & Die Apprentice before graduating high school, tested out of 1st year of apprenticeship schooling, and for the life of me, I am drawing a blank on the cat heads! Lol

Is the lathe 3 phase, 240v, or are you going to use a VFD or rotary phase converter to run it?

It’s a 2 hp 3 phase.

This is the part I’m researching and that’s what I’m trying to figure out. I’m leaning towards a TECO Westinghouse VFD but would definitely like to hear some feedback on what to chose.
