Looking for a chest rig/plate carrier

I have to admit there is more interest in hard armor on OSA than I thought there would be.

For those thinking about getting set up with hard plates and a carrier I recommend this quick primer on how they should be worn.

I'd recommend not going cheap on armor either. There is good quality and decently priced kit out there, but do your research!. In this case, your life definitely depends on it.

For the Mayflower LPAC, Velocity System's offerings are well suited. I have their triple curve VS-P34 Level III (Level IV icw) plates and they fit superbly. This system works well as I can scale it to the situation at hand or even wear the armor under my foul weather gear and my LBE, if any, over it. I did this at a recent class and it worked very well.

London Bridge, First Spear, Eagle SPC, Condor MPC or Defender (worldly persons have run these with positive results), paraclete/pb.......Cyre and I believe it was Diamondback had a following.

The tough part is finding samples of these to try before you buy.
