These are only sold by Brownell's. They are exact copies of the originals - made by the original maker - but with upgrades. They're not cheap, $399 on Brownell's website.

I call it my "Patrol Rifle." Upper with a pencil-weight barrel, nickel-boron bolt and fire control parts, and a polymer lower. It weighs right at 7 lbs. with an empty 30-round mag.

Got an old clone on my 604 --- its one of the cheaper ones but it has stood up to a lot of plinking over the course of 25 years or so --

Good to know i can get a nicer quality unit if i ever treat this one to a more correct looking lower receiver !

I ordered one yesterday for a GAU Colt I bought off a member a couple of years ago. Had one of the originals about 50 years ago.
