I am interested in this topic as well. I am considering trying out Swampfox Optics. Their 1x8 or 1x10 in particular.

I'm interested in an LVPO also.

I have very little experience with magnified scopes because I have never needed one before but because I have had so many birthdays my eyesight needs some help past about 50 yards.

One thing I am finding out about scopes is that I really can't afford the good stuff.

Next time we get together I'll let you take a look see through my Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24. It's a darn good scope that won't hurt your budget too bad.

PSA has a 1-6x24 Strike Eagle with a one piece cantilever mount for $250 that I have been trying to ignore.

ETA: I see where they also have the 1-8x version with mount for $300.
