Marlin 1895

Bought a Marlin 1895 45/70 the other day. I know it’s a Remington version but there’s no letter prefix in the serial number and no little engraved stamp. Also barrel is still marked New Haven. So I’m guessing it is is from the very beginning of Remingtons take over. What do you think.

Unless I'm mistaken, after takeover, Remington used up the Marlin parts inventory to build rifles.
So some Remington Marlins ended up being ALL Marilin or PART Marlin until that inventory was depleted.

How’s it shoot? I had a remlin ABL distributor edition and it was very accurate
