Fired rounds may not fit as some chambers measure larger than others in many rifles.

My buddy has a 1974 model 94 winchester 30-30 same year as the one I have but my fired ammo will not fit his chamber.

I was using a Lee Wack-A-Mole loader which is a neck sizer and the rounds would not chamber in his rifle.

Yes, the Enfields had fairly loose chambers and because of that, most people neck size only and keep them labeled for a specific rifle. If you find some brass, it needs to be new or full length sized for your test.

If you might be in the Blanchard area, I can give you a couple test rounds live Military or Commercial, or full length sized empty brass. Yep, I'm a freak when it comes to my Enfield's and 303 British ammo!

I got lucky a few years back and scored some original WWII .303 Brit ammo from a fellow out west who was downsizing his stash. Works great in my 1942 Savage built U.S. PROPERTY marked No4MkI* Enfield!
This rifle also spent time in the South African
Army (see the U with an arrow in it?). Even
has the original 2 groove barrel!

Love the No4 Mk1 rifle. I really wish someone would make them again but using modern steel. I would love to have one in 308 Win. May not be the most accurate rifle out there, but it is a warhorse that can be depended on. If I was rich I would have one custom made.
