1. The Baltimore Sun’s Tricia Bishop wants the government to create a searchable online database so that parents can know which homes have firearms, in case their kids want to go play.

2. Former Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC) chair Ann Brown wants more regulation on bullets("when someone who may be dangerous is prevented from buying ammunition, any gun he has hidden becomes like a car without gas: a useless hunk of metal").

3. Damon Linker at The Week wants all “assault weapons” to be stored at approved ranges at all times.

Wowzers, some serious loonies out there.

That all sounds crazy to us, but it just takes baby steps to get there, and the more these ideas are publicized the more normal and acceptable they become.
I don't know the best way to combat these ideas, especially since the media is on their side.

Whether by design or ignorance, these 'reporters' are complicit in setting up the destruction of freedom and the subjugation of We the People.

I don't know the best way to combat these ideas, especially since the media is on their side.

To counter this strategy, 2 options come to mind:

1. Talk to people we know who are not gun owners and explain to them what the 2A means in terms of protection against tyranny, and why registration is the first step that a tyrant uses.

2. Call our representatives (congressman and senators) to convince them that ANY vote in this direction will lead to them being primaried or defeated.

This was how we defeated the UBC tide after Sand Hook, and this is how we will defeat it now. We need to educate and pick up the phone and make a couple of calls .
On a more encouraging note, even the die hard liberals are mistrustful of the press now, so any "polls" are met with suspicion.

+1---I am assuming that p/u means steal, rob, home invasion, etc. to get guns. This probably why lib dem gun grabbers/haters like this on line database listing of gun owners. A number of lib dem MSM newspapers have also published lists of gun owners in their areas in the past.
