It means the ladies(wife) story is true, and the drug cartels, or somebody using them as a smoke screen is trying to get this shut down to avoid procecution. I'm opting on a smoke screen.

Ditto...seems to me they kill cops for sport down there, doesn't really give any validity to her story. Still could be true, but this doesn't prove it.

She has eye witness to being chased, and has volunteered to take a lie detector test, and the leo's have found blood spatter on her wave runner.
they are doing DNA on it as we speak.
We'll see how this plays out.
