This could be a scary possibility cause we all know how darn crooked Mexico's government & police are anyway. To say the cartel has influence over them sadly isn't a far stretch of the imagination.

I've got an Army buddy that immigrated from Mexico. He did it the right way, he came here legally, got a green card, enlisted, then volunteered for a deployment. He was granted citizenship in a hurry. Also, he doesn't use any of this "Mexican-American" BS. You ask him, he tells you he's American. Period.

Anyhow, he told me that most Mexicans are very bitter about the territory they lost during the Mexican/ American war. Despite the fact that they started it, and lost the territory when we whipped them, AND THEN paid them for it! They still believe it is theirs, according to him. Anyhow, my conspiracy theory is that the Mexican government, who we know is influenced by the cartels, is trying to influence US domestic policy to attempt to slowly take back their forfeited territory. If US citizens don't have guns they can't protect their land from drug runners and coyotes. If states aren't allowed to enforce immigration law it makes it easier for illegal aliens to move is and start leeching the economy. Before long the local populations are majority illegal aliens, and legal residents get pushed out by them and drug gang violence. Meanwhile, local law enforcement, ICE, border patrol, and who ever aren't allowed to do anything about it.

Now, that may be way off the deep end, but I guess I don't spend too much time in shallow water any more :-)

I attended a short Spanish class a few years back and the instructor was from Mexico. She told the class that there were lots of bad feelings from the Mexican citizens about Texas and California. They said that it was stolen from them and they will eventually take it back.

Stolen from them. Good grief. I guess the pilgrims stole American from the Indians. Heck could you, imagine society in this country if American was never founded. It would mostly likely have been conquered by some third world dictator when all the natives would have been enslaved to the fields for,harvest...

I'm so sick of ill informed people and our stupid dictators who run this country degrading it and hell bent on destroying it. Like it or not its the best place in the world to live, at least for now

This is all a big misunderstanding. All they want is a copy of Obama's new price list. The cartel is needing to get quotes for a 2013 weapons purchase.

This ticks me off more than anything. Mexican officials, whether elected or not are some of the dirtiest, most vile scumbags on the planet. You know what ex-presidente Felipe Calderon is doing now? He's teaching at a college here in the U.S! Now there's somebody who needs to be deported. The whole mass murder, blood in the streets thing in their country is due to THEIR corruption and collusion with the cartels, not OUR freedoms. If I had my way, no Mexican politician would ever lay a toe on U.S. soil.
