Michigan roadway shootings prompt school lockdowns

[Kids were kept off school playgrounds Monday and some commuters changed their routes as police searched for a suspect in 20 random shootings that have mostly damaged vehicles on busy roads across four Michigan counties....

The shootings mostly involve cars near Interstate 96, though authorities have said one occurred while a man was taking out his garbage. In another incident, a woman said the rear window on her car was shattered. Ten of the 20 shootings have occurred in Wixom, 35 miles northwest of Detroit....]

What is it with all of these school lockdowns. Schools are locked down for little or no reason these days.

If I were a school administrator in Wixom, I would board up the windows. Twenty random shootings? Somebody is nuckin futz, and schools draw these crazies like a magnet.

School management often overreacts, but this time doesn't look foolish to me.
