You are kidding about alcohol not being nearly as dangerous in U.S.??? Alcohol is a killer, drunken driving, wrecked bodies and destroyed marriages. Friend said, Heroin users can't afford a car so they can't kill themselves or anyone on the road. :laugh6:

Considering most heroin users are middle to upper class suburban people. I'm pretty sure they can afford a car since they can afford a $1000 a week drug habit.

Being an Englishman I concur with the report. Much pain and suffering caused by a couple o pints down pub. Especially on a football sunday. Seen many a persons head kicked in by drunk louts. But I also agree with the fact that some drugs should be legalized and taxed. Not a user myself but I would rather deal with a pot head than a drunk lager lout trying to prove how leary he is.

The report reeks of bias.
Nowhere did they do it as a community poll
nowhere did they compare it to different ethnic groups.
Nowhere did they do crap but post some numbers from somebody that may be biased.

The whole thing is crap.

What is the definition of an alcoholic? Depends on the definition of the person.
The old News hag Dear Abby said it was anybody that drank on a time table(like you can drink at work, and wait to get home)
You drank more than two drinks a day( gimme a break)
and so on.......

the most dangerous drugs have to be alcohol and meth. Of course limey's don't have a drinking problem. Everyone is an alcoholic over there. :drink: LOL!

I've evaluated probably over a hundred heroin users in the ER over the last 18 years and very few were stereotypically wealthy teens smoking or injecting heroin on a regular or intermittent basis. More commonly, heroin users burn bridges with family, jobs and friends pretty quick once hooked (Guess how they pay for their junk?) and begin the downward spiral. If they were middle class, they don't stay there for very long.

Granted, teens experiment, and those with a predilection for substance abuse tend to find stuff to screw their lives up easier if they hang in the experimenters crowd, but most teens that try heroin or other common drugs of abuse move on and end up as normal adults.

IMO- Alcohol trumps all. Legal, cheap and toxic if you get enough in.
