It's in my queue to watch, good to know.Wrath of Man. It was a little different for Jason Statham but I liked it.

Tonight I watched "News of the World". Before tonight I had never heard of "News of the World" and it seems this 2020 movie got limted runs and that's a shame, in my opinion it is Oscar nomination worthy.
The movie is set in 1870 Texas which is still feeling the effects of the Civil War. Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd a former confederate captain played by Tom Hanks is tasked with escorting 10 year old Johanna played by Helena Zengel, who 6 years ealier had been taken and raised by the Kiowa, to her aunt. The movie does an outstanding job at making as much as possible period correct. The firearms were correct as well as the clothing. While there are gunfights this not the typical cowboy movie shoot 'em up. This movie is well done and very well acted.
The 1951 version was James Arness first starring roll.I watched two of my favorite sci-fi horror flicks last night. The Thing (2011) and The Thing (1982). The 2011 film is a prequel to the 1982 movie. It takes place at the Norwegian camp and has lots of gory monster kills, it leads right up to the the events in the 1982 movie. Check it out if you haven't seen it. And of course what can I say about the 1982 version, I've probably seen it over a hundred times, just a great flick. I am sure someone will mention The Thing from Another World (1951) and it was good for the time, but pales compared to the John Carpenter version.
"Quigley Down Under" is among my all time favorites of any genre. Possibly THE favorite.I'm a western fan so Quigley down under, Tell them Valdez is coming, Tombstone and The Tracker are my fav's I always had hoped they would have made a sequel to Quigley.
