Meh, its what we were told hiking in Colorado and Utah. Try to back away slowly and if that fails, usually a punch to the nose deters them.

In reality, I bet that round won't break 500 fps in that short barrel or less. Had a Davis derringer in .38 special that would just barely dent a 55 gallon drum at point blank ranges.
If the bullet doesn't kill them, the flame will at least burn the hair off their face.

It is a shooter, so I bought a 5” version they had in the used gun case at big boys. Heck, I think Dennis was at that eat n shoot.
