Good riddance
I can remember as a young boy, the race between Carter and Ford, being my very first taste of politics.
I think I was 10 or 12 years old and we had a mock election at school. Carter won almost by a landslide, except for my vote and a couple of other guys.
The teacher asked who voted for Ford and the three of us raised our hands. The teacher asked me why I voted the way I did. I told her because my father said Carter is a no good sonovabitch.

I never liked his politics and his administration created some tough times. But, I think he was a decent person.
Yeah many progressives including George McGovern meant well , hell I think some of these whack a doos we have now probably at least in their minds mean well and think they are trying to do good .
Having lived through the 1970's I can't say I've enjoyed the repeat(s) we had under Obama and them Biden.
You'll be happy to know that he'll be voting for another fifty years.
At least he lived long enough to see Biden take the title of worst President. Didn't agree with any of his policies as stated. I will give him respect as a past President, something I can never do for Biden.

You mean like let the Shah be pushed out of Iran, botch the rescue of American hostages from Tehran, Give the Panama Canal back to Panama and now the Chi Coms run it . Created Department of Education, worsened the energy crisis of the 70's ... I know I am missing a few things but his time in office was not a great time for America .
