My Beretta NEOS carbine just got shaded, should I be insulted?

I just got an e-mail from a friend of mine,,,
He's a range buddy from way back.

He mentioned that his 12 year old daughter,,,
Wants to try Rimfire Steel Challenge,,,
But he doesn't own a suitable rifle.

I offered to loan him my Beretta NEOS carbine,,,
It's very lightweight and very reliable,,,
I don't think it's ever jammed.

It has a 4x scope on it right now,,,
But I have a nice holographic optic I could mount.

I just got his reply, and I quote,,,
"Are you trying to get my girl laughed off of the range?"

Okay, I know this little shooter isn't a 50 yard-one hole shooter,,,
But it shoots a nice 1.5 to 2" group at 50 yards,,,
That's good enough for Steel Challenge.

Now you must realize I'm not really insulted,,,
But I have to question my friend's judgement on this.

The carbine has all the attributes needed for steel challenge,,,
It's lightweight and therefore very maneuverable,,,
More than capable of hitting those targets,,,
And like I said, it's extremely reliable.

What more could one want?

I'm currently writing a scathing response to his snub,,,
One that should sear his eyes as he reads it.

That was not nice. What does he want you to do?? Furnish them with a $20k .22??
