I have another stupid question.

My 'Rude Fastwin has the electric start.
So, after the motor is started I should be able to disconnect the battery and use it for a trolling motor?
Yes????????????? No???????
Get another battery for the trolling motor, other wise you may be stuck on the lake with a dead battery.

Finding a used carb like you want will be the trick. No more new Evinrude parts!
Haha! lol! Challenge accepted!

Edit........

Quick search of Ebay shows 12 candidates. I just need the correct part number.
Can anyone help with that?
I ordered a manual already but........

And....Holy Cow!!! $100 -$250 dollars!!!!!! I hate when they know they have you by the shorties!! Probably NOT a priority! Lol!

Did see a carb kit for $12.95 though.

Honestly I would stick to tye factory carb and just freshen it up. These old motors were regulated on HP ratings and where that number came from until somewhere in tye early 80 IIRC . Will it compete either a newer 2 stroke 15? Probably not but is should last years of maintained.

Check the lower for water and service first thing.

I had a friend who was into sailboats. He said owning a sailboat was like standing in a cold shower tearing up 100 dollar bills.
I loved sailing when I was in Sea Scouts half a century ago. I donated $50 a month to them to keep up the catamaran they bought for a year after I left. That was more than 20% of my gross income at the time. Young and single. :screwy:
