Some of my 6 started shooting almost that young. Andy is right, it just gets to be more fun as they get older. Mine range in age from 45 to 32 and without fail, they all want to go shooting, everytime they come home for a visit. Treasure your time with that young man. I have always believed the statement: "If you hunt with your children, you will never have to hunt for your children." They are the most valuable and lasting products you will produce in your lifetime. Make the best of it.

It is a great feeling. I didnt buy my son his first gun yet but I am ready to give him my first(marlin .22lr bolt action). I couldnt think of a gift Id rather have at that age either... what one year old needs a teething ring haha.
