Nope. My brother has one that has had two main boards that he had to fight them to warantee and now " glows" randomly when it is off.
You can replace the power board typically for about $100 off ebay. Easy swap. I have done it a couple of times.
I can't remember when the last time was I watched TV. I can always find something constructive to do.

Must have been a fluke, Panansonic plasmas are the best rated out there.
Power supply. Ours went our 2x in our Samsung LCD. Paid $1400 for it a little over 4 years ago. The last time it went out it was also the video card. I'm done buying expensive TVs. I bougth a 40" LCD on Black Friday for $297. It's cheaper to buy a new one every 2 years than to buy a more expensive one. Just my .02 worth.

I would just buy a new one as well. I have a Toshiba 47 inch LCD and I love it. It has a great picture with the 120Hz motion technology. And it only cost $499!! Just curious, is your tv and lcd, dlp, or a tube(projection)? But I am fixin to get a 60-65 inch LED 3D. I can't wait.
